Hi, I'm Debbie. Born in Singapore, educated in the US, UK and China, I am a widely travelled journalist and branding and communications strategist with more than 15 years of experience producing award-winning multimedia content for the top global names in print and digital media.

In recent years, my career direction has veered towards leading content marketing and communications strategy for legacy brands pushing to go digital, and I derive as much professional satisfaction from managing regional, multicultural teams in highly matrixed multinational corporations as I do drawing from my third-culture experience to help Asian SMEs achieve global visibility.

Outside of work, I have a keen interest in retail innovations and previously tried to scratch my entrepreneurial itch by starting Batch, an online farmers' market for local food producers, and Pin Tea, a boutique tea company with Singapore-inspired blends.

 

These days, my goals beyond the office are less profit-oriented: I spend my weeknights volunteering to help low-income families in my constituency and my weekends pandering to my true bosses — two pesky little human beings and a perpetually jealous furkid.
